So I got two new spiders today, bringing my total to 10. I got a baby Phormictopus Cancerides and a female Psalmopoeus Irminia aka Venezuelan Suntiger. Here's the P Irminia. She's quite defensive, first reaction is to go into threat posture. These guys have been reported to have bites that induce vomiting, pain, muscle spasms, dizziness and cramps for up to 3 days afterwards. It's quite obvious I won't be handling this girl =P but I did have to transfer her to my home and into her new enclosure so there was 2 times where I had to 'move' her into a small container, and then into her new home. Not quite as stressful as dealing with a Poecilotheria but still a lil nerve wracking. It's worth it for this beauty though! I'll upload another picture some time when she's more photogenic, as well as a pic of the P Cancerides aka Haitian brown.
