Ah, well... Yeah, that must be really frustrating, but as a lot of comments suggest, a lot of people have had really bad experiences with jock-types. That's a terrible reason to do something like that, but, I guess that's part of why.

If I hadn’t had very close-up protection I would have wound up suffering much worse in elementary. As I did, I still got teased frequently and physically hurt every now and then. The type of kids I went to elementary with were absolute scum who practically based their entire hierarchy on Klingon Promotion. Fortunately, by junior high I was in a better school, way out of town, so I just got teased by some wannabe arsim at my school, and barely anything else. (I think this may or may not have something to do with the harsh reality of living here and the need to mature quickly.)
Kot, I hate the neurotypical need for hierarchy so bad. It’s the mother of every social ill where there is not shortage of resources.
