Fashionable People - Post Party - Art:Ama, Story:Ame
Original artwork by
AmaDenchArt, go praise her and her work on this image and her work in general!
After Amaranth drew this masterpiece ( http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8872407/ ), with our characters in fancy formal-wear, it was only a matter of time before she and I both began to fantasize about utilizing those same outfits in a 'semi-clothed' scene. Clothed sex is one of the mantid's kinks [and this python finds it pleasing as well], and a continuation from the prior picture in said vein was all but inevitable, although we opted for a more suggestive and erotic tone, rather than an out and out lusty/sexual one. I suppose it's up to the viewer to imagine just how naked these two become before they reach that bed behind them.
Some of the posing and the general atmosphere of this shot was originally inspired by a scene from 'Tomorrow Never Dies' (the 18th Bond movie, released on December 19th, 1997). To those of you who've seen that movie, I wonder if it's clear which scene it is! :>
Oh, and we almost called this 'A Million Dollars - Post Party' to follow the name of the first image, but we ended up using the title of another Joel Plaskett song, 'Fashionable People (Doing Questionable Things)'! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKDgkcx9ric
Aside from that, I also composed a mini-story that turns up the heat by adding some context to the proceedings taking place in the picture above. It also more firmly links this scene to that of the gala premiere from the previous piece. Said story is below. Enjoy! :}===<
(On that last picture, the one that precedes this one, I said how privileged I am to work with WM on a regular basis, and that's never more true than it is now, when something like this happens and we do multiple things, one after another! Each new image and textual accompaniment only multiplies how lucky I am to to create an exponentially increasing equation of how awesome she is and how much I owe her, for everything. <3 )
'Passionate Post-Party Play' ~Or~ 'Disrobing' - by Amethystine

Hey.
This looks pretty romantic, right? Maybe kinda hot, if only because of the clear implication of what's to come? But maybe it's not really _erotic_ to you, and it really doesn't seem all that lusty, you think?
Well.. Let me just tell you about these two..
It's clear that they're about to kiss.. and that seems better to me, the anticipation before the act.
Disrobing and foreplay, FORE-foreplay or pre-foreplay, if you will, is all about the moments of still being denied what you've been wanting all night or all day, while knowing you're juuuussst abouuuut to get it.
These moments can be the hottest of all, before even a single caress or pleasurable touch has been received, before any of that pent up energy can ever be vented.
This pair, they've been making eyes at each other all night. In the limo on the way to the premiere, across the foyer to one another while they mingled with industry movers and shakers.. back and forth glances in the screening room itself while they watched the finished product that was 'The Constriction of Corruption'.
By the time they were in the limo on the way back to their hotel they couldn't stop looking, their eyes just ripping into the clothes that sat there on the other, mockingly masking the desirous forms beneath.
At that point, in the luxurious car, which secluded them utterly from the world and pressed them together (not that they minded), they shared (more) champagne. All pretext - about not staring, not leering, not drinking in the sight of each others' bodies while they drank the bubbly brewed booze - was gone.. all of the caution, thrown to the wind. They both knew what would happen when they got to their rooms.. the only question was whose room? Probably Ame's, the serpent had larger accommodations, for his larger size. Then again, there was something to be said for squeezing a large, long, meaty bit of male into a cramped, tight, hot space. Right? >:}
Still, though, there WAS that lingering thought of 'maybe not' which made it a bit tense, and kept them from dropping their act of formal fancy-dress facade.. and also kept them from just going at it in the limo itself.
They had forgotten, though, about the elevators. Amethystine was fine with it, he always was.. but he DID have to go use the freight elevator. He was just too big to feasibly use the normal ones. Alone, he could probably do fine in the small boxes, but for the consideration of other guests possibly getting on or getting off the lifts, it wasn't a good idea. And speaking of getting (it) on and getting off.. the pair - with this palpable potential positively pickling the air around them - was forced to part with such thoughts in their heads! The snake left Nae with a shrug, a half-smile, a longing look and a wave. Each gesture cried out all on its own that he didn't want to leave her sinuous, sumptuous side. He could have said 'Sssee you up there', but it would have been superfluous.
It was probably for the best, though. They probably would have been in big trouble if they were caught doing that in the elevator.
Also, let there be no doubt in your mind: They WOULD have been doing that in the elevator, had they squeezed into the normal-sized one, together.
While separated, they both thought about the less immediately gripping levels of their attraction to one another. It wasn't just the physicality of it all, not just their aesthetics, appearances and mutual attraction.. it was how good they were together. Both personally and professionally. Many couples - not that they really were a couple, they both had to stop and remind themselves that they weren't actually together.. another reason this whole thing was so.. compelling, the forbidden fruit all over again - many couples, they only have personal connections while their occupations are worlds of mystery to the other in the relationship. Other friends and other knowledge: a whole other universe of joys and stresses that are foreign to the mate. Not the python and the mantis, though.. they were friends who came together to make a collaboration of art and words, and then made it into a movie, somehow. It had been a long, impossible ride, with the two growing ever closer the whole time. Their lives were hopelessly entwined, and they both viewed the other as the reason they had any success at all, both eternally grateful to the other for the good fortune and the luxury they found themselves in.
The brief time apart led them both to rush to their adjacent suites from opposite sides of the building, meeting in the middle of the hallway to resume the thinly veiled erotic staring contest they had begun after they had finally gotten away from the press at the premiere. As they glanced around, they both remembered that their rooms were adjoining, with an internal, inter-connecting doorway. Saying soft 'good night's with lust-soaked undertones, they both went into the front doors of their own suites to keep up appearances one last time.
I won't bore you with the details, but as they disrobed one another, they continued to stare, lips hovering within inches of one another. They would not kiss, they would not touch, save for how they manipulated their clothing - both their own and that of the other.
There was.. some sort of mutual agreement that they never actually announced aloud.. or it was like a game to see who could outlast the other, who would finally prove their intent to the utmost, first. They didn't speak, they just moved together, dismantling their finery together, in sinful synch.
Apparently, to look as good as one could while also being formal, it takes a complex series of clothes and accessories. It almost felt like the puzzle of denuding each other was an intentional benefit of the multi-faceted outfits. The pleasure of unwrapping a present, perhaps. Slowly, and deliberately.. but not entirely gently. There were tugged ties and snapped strings here and there, slashed sashes and pried pleats.
Half the fun in clothes is taking them off. This seems to be generally accepted knowledge. But people don't make mention of the relief: Even at night, these ostentatious outfits are stifling. You can't breathe and you can't move and you get too hot, especially indoors.. _especially_ when you're playing lusty eye-tag with a possible partner in passion.
So, there is a tangible sensation of release that is a sensual pleasure all its own that comes with the unravelling of our most tightly wound, high-culture, constrictive coils of cloth. Escaping them is liberating to the extreme, if only because you never realized just how snug they had become. The squeeze sneaks up on you, a slow boil of bondage you didn't even know you had on.
When you get out, you melt: You were a tall, cool-looking bottle. Then, it's revealed what a hot, frothing liquid you are when you're poured out again.. the contents were under pressure.
As I said, you melt.. and if you're lucky, you'll melt into the same pooling puddle as someone you like, someone you've been wanting all evening, all day, all week, all month, all year! Someone with a flavour that compliments your own.
And so.. our chocolate and our vanilla, our coffee and our cream, did just that.
They're just about to melt, here. They've been heated up by the night, by each other, by their fevered brains. The pressure has been building and building within the firmly sealed vessels that are those clothes. They're finally escaping and the steam that's escaping those sizzling outfits is filling up the room they're in.
Let me tell you.. you can't see it, but they're finally about to splash together as they pour out onto that bed.
Let me tell you.. they are going to flow together - flow and froth and foam, ebbing briefly to re-surge and sluice and stream seamlessly - all night long.
~
So, now that I've told you all that..
does this scene still seem tame?
Or is it aflame?

I'm going to assume you're agreeing with Alient's last commment/reply to me.
And yeah, I've worked with WM a lot over the last year or two. We're a good match, but some of it is also just having spent a lot of time talking/working together already, by this point. :}
Also, thanks for the fave!

Firstly, thanks for the fave, and the comment! :>
And as for the neck, which is better, the one above, or the one over there --> http://www.furaffinity.net/view/8872407/ ? Or are they both equally not your style?
I will admit, that the necks I've ended up with in WM art have seemed to be getting longer, bit by bit. Might have to reel that back in a little in the future. Nevertheless, I think they work, in these poses and scenes, and make a certain amount of sense for an elongated and serpentine character, too.

Meh, nope. They're just both not my style. However, they make you seem taller and snake-like because your neck is actually at the back of your head, and not at the bottom (such as in my icon, which is an example of how every snake head should be... Should...) Nevertheless your affiliation with Whitemantis brings out some great arts! :3
I don't dislike them! D:
I mean, I like them! This is like.. if you're watching me write something in Moonedit, you wouldn't really question my word choice, for the most part. I don't question these serpentine necks because I believe they fit in with how you draw Ame.
I'm really sorry if this comment thread with RyClmn made you think I was sneaking around behind your back, disapproving of something you did, that's not the case at all! :I
I might be over-reacting right now, but your icon makes me imagine you/Nae as being really sad/upset. because SHE ALWAYS LOOKS THAT WAY AAHHHHH
Also, all October long, your icon was the vengeful spirit one, and that may have subconsciously made me wary of yoooouuu D:

This story really went well with the artwork that
WhiteMantis did. You pretty much captured my imagination when I was reading it. Though I can't help when looking at the artwork, there is something that is mysterious, yet very beautiful about it.

Ah! Thanks so much! I'm sure you'll go check out WM because of this too, right? :}
Thank you for the comment, the fave on this pic, the three OTHER faves on 'Where You Go I Go', 'Kiss Me[me]' and 'You Know Our Names'.. AND the watch! :D

Oh wow!!! This is just breathtaking!
Plus I love that there is an explanation of the image, like 'how did they come there, ready to disrobe each other?'
Often sexy images miss these words which complement the visual part, and your short story is like the cherry on the top of the cake: it makes the picture look even better, because it's not just 'oh, sexy fanservice', but it's part of something bigger and deeper.

Well, it's sexy fanservice in that I am a fan of WhiteMantis and she is a fan of me, so we're really just serving/servicing each other! >:}===<
Thanks for the fave, and I'm happy to hear that you appreciate the written accompaniment. I feel the same way about art needing at least a little context or explanation, a lot of the time. That's why I strive to almost always post a 'mini-story' or a poem or something else textual, with my posts of the art of others. Besides, this is supposed to be a gallery of my work, so I _should_ include my own work, even when uploading something by someone else.
