..is the forehead of a deer skull?
This is the project I'm working on at the moment because my hands were itching to be carving again. I have to set a turquoise cabochon into this skull, so I hollowed out a space in the forehead, wondering 'My gosh, how deep does this thing go?' I don't know how deep the space is now. Maybe a quarter of an inch. Don't need to go any deeper, I suppose. But beware; not an inch over a bit to the right and down of this hole the bone is much thinner and I actually nicked some unintentional holes right through it, (you can see them in the photo).
This will be stained/painted and for sale when complete :)
