King Cobra took me forever to do with all the details and shading with the scales. Often I have pencil drawings that can take more time to finish then a full color piece.

MY!!!!! how sis you spent in the details!!! ITS AMAZING!!!!
May I be right if i think that his took much more time than what you spected? ;p
Considering that, what do you think about the result of that invertion of time?
I think that it's perfect (well, comaring with muy poor drawing, everything is much better XD) but i wanted to know the opinion of the creator ^_^

I have this as a print you sent me with an order I placed some time ago. I vividly recall spending about half an hour just looking at the details on this fellow and thinking how much I'd like my snake characters to look like that. I've made the attempt several times but have never come close to succeeding. When I look through my print collections, I always stop at this one, lingering on it for several minutes. A truly gorgeous piece of pencil work that I will always admire.
I really appreciate all the subtle nuances you put into each scale; it really brings the image to life, in your trademark stunning-yet-understated style.
The time you've spent on getting every scale on his crests right really adds to the picture's impact; interestingly, the tail is the part which initially draws your attention - and the slightly reduced detail style there almost belies the care and effort poured into the drawing.
I could go on about how the loincloth strap displaces the scales on his sides and the way you've increased the contrast on the non-organic, decorative parts to make them appear so, but seeing as you drew it, you probably know all about how and why it's there. :) It's really appreciated in such a fine sketch.
May I ask what kind of pencils you used to shade this?
Thanks,
Varka
