I think drawing felines can be pretty hard sometimes... To me this looks like a cat so don't worry c: But if you'd like it to look even more cat-like, I'd suggest to make the snout shorter (except it's an oriental cat) and to look at a bunch of macro shots of domestic cat noses as well as big cat noses (except the nose was meant to look this heavily stylized). It took me some time to figure out how they really look like. It helps to compare them with human and dog noses. Anyway, I really like this piece! :3

Thank you for the tips! I kept trying to remind myself to make the nose shorter, make the nose shorter, and I STILL made it too long on a few lol. I didn't actually look at any cat faces while I was doing this, even though I was thinking that I really should have. Next time I'll really make sure to get some references up while I draw, hopefully if I do more cats that would actually help XD

Good luck! I know these issues :D If you don't look close enough it almost looks like their noses are totally different but actually they're quite similar to dog noses for example... The proportions are just different and they have fur on parts of the nose where dogs have no fur. You can see this very well on lion noses and such... It just took me some time and many pics to look at until I figured that out :o

Yeaaah I need to do more cat studies, for sure :( Especially house cats, those little faces mess me up so much because I am used to giving everything such a big snout!

I totally undrstand that @_@ It can be hard but drawing cats is so much fun anyway! c: I think oriental cats are more fun to draw because their snouts are so long and they look more "extreme" in general.
