i sometimes worry people perceive me as aloof and stand offish due to the fact that i am shy and live inside my head, and often look "pissed off", even though i am not. in addition, i worry that i overcompensate for awkward situations, and in fact make them worse.

As far as I'm concerned, when I've seen you, I've loved my time with you and wish you were able to stay for longer.

Then I return to my normal schedule and tune out all previous interactions. Then I'm reminded of the seldom but good times. Oh, those were so good.

But yeah, I think the same thing all the time. That I leave and everyone just busts out laughing, knee-slapping, chortling at me behind backs.
