Okay...took awhile...^_^
This is the first finished colour version of Rebby's pic. There will be three or four others posted during the next week or so as i get them done.
Problems occurred with this as my original concept of the colouring seemed to have the colours all over the place, lacking unity to the pic. This and the next version maintained the original colouring, but tossed out the background, replacing it with some variations on a fractal i did about four years ago (in Apophysis)- the colours just happened to right and brout it back to some unity...
Will amend this text later with details....it's late, my tiny brain is shot...Will post detail close-up in a few minutes, as this is a big image, will post big complete pic over at my deviantArt site tomorrow...
Rebby will choose the official version when they're all posted and variants will be in my scaps.

Has been crazy obsession wiff me for months since my original colour concept didn't work...And Rebby has been very patient with me while i've been tearing my hair out in frustration....i've had to step away from each version for a week or two, just to try to re-imagine how the colours would balance...
Rebby was one of the first folks to make me feel welcome here, has been a good friend, and i wanted to something magical for her in return....other versions to follow and she'll choose the winner, so to speak...

The next one is just this with a different rendering of that fractal background. Third version has different colours in wing-frame thingumy...and so on...
There is also a complete different pic i had thought of back then that i hope to get to eventually....A bamboo forest mixed in with your town, and sort of appearing and disappearing between the stalks of bamboo...sort of surreal...might get to that next year... :)
