Scintillate, scintillate
Vargr first heard this adaptation of a common nursery rhyme running on a computer demonstratating sythesized speach production in the late 70's. For some reason, it stuck with wuffy ever since.
For all you "future tech" furs, here it is. (And for those less versed in obscure hi-tech verbiage, the original nursery rhyme is included in translation. *grins*)

*chuckles* You're right, they do sound completely different. The "high tech" version does have a nice syncopated swing to it though;
SIN ta late, SIN ta late
Globe u lor or IF ic ...
*grins* Got a good beat!
And they do both mean the same thing.
Though wuff can't see the "Beatnics" reciting either one at their coffee shops, to the accompaniment of snapping fingers. *Wuff snaps his fingers and starts reciting under his breath...* On the other paw, it kinda grows on ya...
*Giggles and pads off, tail swinging, doing a little four-paw'd shuffle-step in time with the syncopated beat.* ...SIN t'late, SIN t'late...

As soon as I read "Twinkle twinkle little star" I burst out laughing, to see a computer mess it up that badly and yet still keep a good beat to it, I had no idea until I read the 'translation' ... that is just funny!
Mind if I share it with some people?
*walks off*
...SIN t'late, SIN t'late... gah, now you got me doing it!!

Oh yes - wuff's not sure that original was a full computer translation, or was just a technician's version of the original rhyme. They were using it to demo speach synthesis back when computers could barely draw a figure, let alone speak a recognizable word.
The machine was reciting that in their demo booth, while printing it up on the green-screen monitor at the same time. The whole hype of the display was how recognizable the sounds were (even though their were still very "WOPR-speak" computer sounding).
