Just so there's a clear depiction of her and her personality, I'm posting this ref sheet here too.
Original comment:
I figured I should draw up a reference sheet for Felicia as she clearly the favourite of my characters. (although Fran is more popular here at FA)
This helped me work out a few details in her design and forced me to finalise the look of her nightstick weapon/tool. About time I worked out how that thing looks :)
I may do this with more of my characters.

Hmm...
A good start would be using basic shapes like circles and blocks to get the shape of a character you're drawing. You can also draw out a very basic stickman skeleton to get the pose down first. Just be sure to draw the shoulders and hips so you know where they are.
Use yourself and others for pose reference if you're stuck on ideas. If you happen to have a full-length mirror you can pose yourself and copy the pose, but if not then magazines or friends are just as good.
As for actual drawing technique, try not to press down too hard with the pencil. Keep the lines fairly light so that they're easy to erase should you need to do so. You can go darker once you know where everything is.
And above all, keep practicing! It's the only way to get better, and eventually you start to understand things more and won't feel so lost as often.

I love the 'jacket' hat and everything this outfit rocks! One thing I might like to see maybe shin guards or something to 'highlight' the legs just a little more? Maybe extend the ankle things up a few more inches or something that extends from just bellow the knee to the ankle on the outside of the lower leg. Er sorry I'm annoying.
Looks great!

Interesting suggestions actually, but I wanted to have the suit allow her quite a lot of mobility. As a practicallity thing, if the front of the shin guards came up further there's a chance that they could slightly hang away from her leg, meaning there's more chance of them getting caught on something she's climbing through or whatever. I wanna keep the armour to a minimum since it's primarily a sneaking suit.
Thanks for making me think about it though :)

To be honest the shin guard thing is done to death by too many artists. I just think the legs 'highlights' could maybe extend a little higher. Well glad I got you thinking. If you really want to go crazy try doing a series of lines or pattern on her suit to break up her outline, the detail would get real annoying real fast on that.
I hear great artists have a habit of over detailing work (I'm not to that level yet :p ) for Eve's tactical suit I gave her some simple highlights across her body kind of like 'Deadpool' but I wanted some kind of design on her. I need to try and do a pic with Felicia and Eve sometime (with you permission of course)
