Haha I put in some clipping from ghost stories printed in news papers since I thought it would be appropriate! I need to stream where I do something like this, I usually just work from pencil sketch and these recent things have been all digital and crazyyyyy for me @_@

Lol ive kinda been doing traditional skething annnd im finally gonna try mixig a pic i did o.O but i love how textured you always get it digital looks to flat sometimes... How do you gt it so paper looking.

Usually I just color under the pencil sketch, like I would go in the art program and set the scanned paper layer to a multiply layer in the layer effects menu thing. Then I just create like another layer under or a few and color in stuff there. Afterwards though I usually use textures from http://lostandtaken.com/gallery here with like soft light layers and stuff, my favorites are the stained paper ones and film things cause it is funnn.

Recently though I create a layer at the end over top of everything and fill it with 50% gray and then go in photoshop and use filter>noise and set it to 400% / color / gaussian and then I ctrl+shft+U to desaturate the layer and then set the layer to soft light. this gives like that paper texture look for sure.

Kinda hard to explain via type, maybe it would be easier to just stream or something haha!

Haha yeah that pose site is the bomb as far as people practice is concerned, if you don't get something about it I can make like a quick little tutorial thing I'm sure. It would be easy-ish

issue i seem to be having is getting the texture color outta the image is there anyways to fix that up?

yes actually if you are using CS 4 you should be able to open hue and saturation on the texture layer and then just desaturate it. In CS5 it is the same deal though you might have to rasterize the layer or something to work on it (just try painting on it with the paint brush if that is the case and it will ask you something, just say yes and you are good!) Hope that helps!

Oh man yeah Photoshop works well with texturing and your picture isn't bad at all! :D I use SAI every now and then but for some reason it just doesn't jive with me :<

Hehe i mainly like the fill and line tools xD but yeah im very familiar with psd. Its a very professional program i spent a LOOOONG time using it.

Perhaps make the blur beldn a little better or slightly less noticeable, but otherwise love this style!!
