Yeah... Being a former grade school "Projector Geek," I've seen this phenonema waaaay too many times. Sometimes it can be made to work in the animator's advantage. I remember one fellow who by hand drew on 35mm projection film, and created a "Spider Battle" where the biggest, meanest spider ended up "Falling" into a nasty looking film burn. Job well done.
