makes me wonder, what does the flower exactley represents?

It is a tropical lily found in many modern leis. As a cutie mark it represents her natural talent for helping flowers grow, much like the background characters Lily, Rose and Daisy, and bloom to her cheerful singing. But as Ulani is not from the maneland (curse you pony puns) and originally from one of the coastal island, her flower is also unique.

I have to say, I can never get over just how well her color pattern works as an Earth pony and as you know was always present long before becoming a pony. The tones of brown representing the Earth, the ground, itself, her green hair that off grass and leaves and her bright vibrant flower blooming full.
