Back once again in this world. Should come up with a name for it now…
Anyway the first visit was Things Were Different Once, http://www.furaffinity.net/view/809762/
Then came Some Things Never Change, http://www.furaffinity.net/view/863607/
And now Some Things Stay the Same.
Inspired by Poetigress’ writing prompt, http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/239205/

Humn. o.o It's like a furry/sci-fi "White Fang". I always liked that one better than "Call of the Wild".
So it occured to me while reading the main character's chamber scene that we usually see action like that from the other side of the glass. It was nice to get the entire running inner monologue for once. And, for what it's worth, that first paragraph really caught me.

Oh - brilliant! I agree massively with all the comments everyone's said here. This story was good to start, got better and has now become something even greater. I love where this is going and the abilities these critters are getting. That double-presence of the snow leopard within and without the rooms is one cool idea.
Keep on goin', TShaw!

Thanks muchly M. I’ve started working on an outline for a fairly long story arc in this world. It’ll take me a while before I have anything ready to post, and its not likely I’ll be using this world in the prompts until then. But then one never knows. For now I’ll leave this up for a week or two and put it back up as the first chapter when the rest is ready.
Oh and the big tigress in the story isn’t Poetigress but I did put the big tigress in there as a nod to her for inspiring this story with the prompts. *reaches up to tip a non existent hat*

*chuckle* I wasn't going to ask, but I admit I did wonder there for a moment.
This is definitely my favorite of the three so far. I had pictured the cat in the previous section as more of a typical zoomorphic domestic cat, but then, that may have just been me not reading carefully enough. :) I also like the ensemble of characters, even though all we know about most of them so far is their species.
Curious to see where this is going, and looking forward to seeing more when it's ready...

The cat in the previous one basically was a generic cat, hadn’t yet assigned any species then but was just going for a vague idea of him being a cat. I like to give readers enough room to fill things in with their own imagination. It’s a fine balance I hope I’m getting the hang of.

Dude! Sorry I'm so late in reading this little story!
I really like the concept by the way! I just read all 3 right now, so I guess I'll just summarize with this one comment. I think you did a good job going from the introducing of the chance, the emerging of conflict and now further adaptations and changes! I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next, cause you certainly can't stop there! ...well you can... but still, I'd be happy to see more! ^.^
