Sorry to those of you who've watched me that it's taken so long for me to post anything since my initial barrage. I took a bit of a "break" when I first launched the Snowe account and it's been very slow going to get my groove going again. My work slows down especially when I start drawing someone I've never drawn before, especially if they're of a species that I don't have any experience drawing.
Or, in this case, if I'm creating a character design totally from scratch.
This dashing lass is what I playfully refer to as a "Mooroo" (or the reverse), or for a more official sense, a cowgaroo. In other words, a mix of cow and kangaroo features. I think you get the idea. This pic has a bunch of problems since my initial sketch was put together quickly and was full of flaws, but this at least lays the groundwork for what I hope can become a recurring design.
But whether or not that happens...well...that may be a question better asked to
Mishe

Science journals on the coffee table this morning, one page ripped out with some hypothesis circled. The other scientists afraid of me. I've seen their true face, seen how cowardly they are. The doors close and the other scientists start banging on the doors. The machine starts up and all the particles and hadrons and quarks start foaming up around the subjects in the testing room, and mainstream science says "You have to stop this!"... and I whisper "no."
Well, the "character" is my stab at creating a consistent form for my friend Mishe to use as representation (basically a fursona, loathe as I am to use that term). She suffers from a tendency to jump back and forth between various animals because there hasn't been any single example of -her- that she could really reference. Cow and kangaroo are two of the animals that she's tried in the past, and both contain features that she likes, so my goal was to pick out some of her favorite qualities and mix them together in a way that is both cohesive and produces something that can be unique to Mishe.
I'm not sure yet if I succeeded, but the initial reaction has been mostly positive, so here's hoping!
