Inner-Selves, No. 24, Part B

"So you couldn't wait for me to show up, huh baby-face?" Dash asked. "Running into you here was just a coincidence, but no matter, we'll settle this right now!" Fidget answered. Fidget jumped up on the table and ran straight towards Dash, Dash charged at him and tackled him, breaking the table in the process. Seth and the others backed up against the walls of the room and watched helplessly as the two felines started exchanging punches and kicks with each other. "Fidget cut it out! This isn't the time nor the place!" Seth shouted. "Stop it before someone gets hurt, we're here to get help from Master Ignacious, not cause trouble!" Sophie pleaded. "Fidget, put your petty grudge aside, you wanna save Kat don't you?" Daisy asked. Like before, Macho said nothing, trying to reason with Fidget was impossible at times like this. Fidget ignored the pleas of the others completely, all he cared about was kicking Dash's butt. He used his smaller size to his advantage, he climbed up Dash's back, and proceeded to give him a noogie. "Haha, how do you like that you freckle-faced freak?!" Fidget said mockingly. Dash grabbed Fidget and threw him off of him, then he picked up a chair and tried to break it over his head, but Fidget rolled out of the way. Ignacious didn't care about what was going on, she knew this was typical behavior for her brother, so she thought it was best to let the two of them fight it out. She took out a bottle of bubble soap and started blowing bubbles with the wand that was included with it.
As she held the wand out in front of her to blow more bubbles, Fidget tackled Dash to the ground right in front of her, as Dash came down, he knocked the wand out of her hand, she was a little upset, but she decided to just pick it up and let it slide. "I'm gonna rip off every last one of those spots of yours!" Fidget stated. Dash retaliated with a diaper wedgie to Fidget, the tapes on the diaper came undone, and Dash began playing keep-away with Fidget's diaper. "Haha, take that you stinkin' youth sprite!" the cheetah said, sticking his tongue out at him. Fidget jumped up and kicked Dash in the face, took his diaper back as it fell out of Dash's grip, and put it back on. Dash fell backward and bumped into his sister, knocking the bottle of bubble soap to the floor, the wand was one thing, but the soap couldn't be picked up. "Grrrrr, you clumsy jerks!!" Ignacious shouted. "Uh oh, this is bad..." Daisy said. "W-wait a minute sis, he's the one who hit me, it's all his fault" Dash panicked. "Hey, don't pin this on me jerk-face!" Fidget shouted, he got ready to tackle Dash again, Ignacious decided that she'd had enough of this. "That's enough from both of you!!" she shouted. She made a fist with her right hand, it started to glow, then it caught on fire, Seth and the others were shocked, they'd never seen such a thing. As Fidget and Dash got ready to continue their fight, Ignacious struck the floor with her fire-fist punch, it created a pillar of flames that knocked Fidget and Dash back to opposite sides of the room, and that was the end of that.
A few minutes later, Fidget and Dash were sitting on the floor side-by-side, each holding an ice pack to a large bump on their head caused by Ignacious. "S-she's scary" Sophie said. Seth snuggled up close to Sophie and trembled a bit, Macho was shocked, but still said nothing, Daisy wasn't the least bit surprised. "Alright you two, since you get along so well, you can spend some time cleaning up the mess you've made of this room!" the tiger said. "But sis he -" Dash interjected. "No 'buts'! Now get a move on, you still have a lot to help these guys with!" Ignacious responded. Fidget and Dash trembled, Fidget wet and messed himself out of fright, she really was scary. "Y-yes ma'am!" they both stammered. They got up and began to clean up the room, Ignacious took the others to a different room so they could start their training.
"Why do we need special training? Is it because of how you intend to get us into the playhouse?" Seth asked. "As a matter-of-fact, yes, unless you complete this training, you won't be able to enter the playhouse without going through one of the gates, and based on your first attempt, that option is pretty much impossible now" the tiger answered. "But we just gotta climb over the wall don't we?" Sophie asked. "I don't think so, if it were that simple, I could've just given everyone a boost over the wall" said Macho. "You're right about that, believe it or not, y'all aren't the first ones that have tried to get into the playhouse, in order to make sure no one gets inside, there's a spiritual barrier placed around the entire playhouse, a dome barrier covering the space above the playhouse, and another one underground, preventing anyone from tunneling their way in" Ignacious said. "So the gatekeepers are used to guard the areas not protected by the barrier" Seth deduced. "Yep, in addition, the entire wall surrounding the playhouse is composed of a material similar to the barrier, so breaking down the wall won't work either, the only way inside is through one of the four gates" the tiger said. "Or at least it was, until you invented your cannon" Daisy said.
"A cannon? But I thought you said there was an impenetrable barrier?" Seth questioned. "My cannon doesn't shoot ordinary cannon balls, they're special ones made out of compressed spirit energy that's strong enough to temporarily penetrate the barrier, if you're shot out of that cannon, you'll be in the playhouse in no time" the tiger said. "Wow, that sounds cool!" Sophie exclaimed. "Now this will only work if you're all inside the cannon ball when it's fired, which brings us to your training" the tiger said. She summoned Sulfur and Phosphorus into the room, they were carrying a mysterious green orb, they carried it over to Ignacious and set it down on the floor. "This orb is what you'll use to form the cannon ball, all you have to do is focus your spirit energy into it, and the cannon ball will form around you, unless you all can do this successfully, you won't be able to get into the playhouse" Ignacious explained. "Alright everyone, you'll each take a turn trying to form a cannon ball" said Daisy, taking over from here. "Um, I'd like to go first" Sophie said shyly. "Very well Sophie, just pick up the orb and focus your energy into it" said the teddy bear. Sophie slowly walked up to the orb and picked it up, she began to slowly focus her spirit energy, and with little effort, a green sphere surrounded her entire body and the orb, she'd done it. "Wow, Sophie you're a natural!" Seth said, impressed. Sophie put it back down, Seth came up to try it next. He picked it up and focused his spirit energy, he was able to do it, but it was shaped more like a bullet than a cannon ball. "Hmm, maybe the shape of it has something to do with your demeanor, but nonetheless, it'll work" Ignacious said. Seth put it down, he was satisfied, Macho got up and tried next. He was also able to do it, but the sphere kind of flickered like a light bulb that was losing its power. "It's a rough attempt, but you got it" the tiger said. "Hey Daisy, can you do it?" Sophie asked. "Hmm, I don't know, why don't we find out?" the teddy bear replied. She couldn't pick it up in her form, but when she touched it, a sphere formed almost instantly. "Amazing!" Seth exclaimed.
After Daisy let go of the orb, Dash and Fidget walked in, Fidget had changed his diaper and the room had been cleaned up. The rest of them explained to Fidget what they had been training to do, and Fidget was now the only one left who had to pull it off. "This'll be a walk in the park, I'm full of spirit energy!" Fidget bragged. "Knock yourself out, but be warned, if you put in too much spirit energy, the cannon ball will explode" Ignacious warned. "I got it, I got it" Fidget said. He picked up the orb and tried to focus his spirit energy into it, but nothing was happening. "Huh? Why won't this thing turn on?" Fidget asked. "Your spirit energy is unstable, you need to focus it" Ignacious replied. "Alright, I'll try" Fidget responded. He started to slowly increase his spirit energy, but nothing happened. "C'mon Fidget, if you can't do this, you can't get into the playhouse" Daisy said. "Will you shut up? I know that already!" Fidget shouted. He grew more frustrated and started to increase his spirit energy at a faster rate, it was starting to affect everyone in the room. "Hey hold on, what's that idiot doing?!" Dash said, realizing that this heavy sinking feeling he felt was because of Fidget. The orb slowly began to glow, but no sphere was forming yet. "Darn it, work already!" Fidget yelled at the orb. He raised his energy up even more, some pictures on the wall were beginning to shake, and his friends were down on their knees, barely able to move. The orb glowed even more, and a sphere much bigger than the others formed around Fidget, Ignacious did not like the look of its size. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, tone it down you fool!!" the tiger shouted. "What?! How do I do that?!" Fidget shouted. The sphere started glowing along with the orb, it was about to explode. "He's trying to kill us!!" Dash shouted. "YOU MORON!!" shouted Ignacious. She quickly ran up to Fidget and knocked the orb out of his hands, just before the explosion. She hit Fidget hard on the head again and proceeded to scold him. "You idiot, didn't I tell you? If you put too much energy into it, you're gonna blow up!" the tiger shouted. "I'm sorry..." Fidget moaned, as he rubbed the bump on his head. Since Fidget had failed to form a safe and stable cannon ball, he was ordered to practice until he got it right, this was clearly no walk in the park like he thought it would be.
