As my latest 'sweeps month' (September, 2012) begins to wind down, I thought I'd present a brand-new illustration from my "BBS" (big black sketchbook), which I haven't posted in a long, long time...
When I'd first met artist/writer
Derrick Fish for the first time at "Megaplex" in central Florida (back in the last decade), he was kind enough to render my bobcat 'fursona', along with two of his characters from his webcomic "Dandy & Company" in a funny 'fat furry' gag called "Donut Feeder" - which you can still see in my gallery at http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1490472/ .
Since then, we'd kept in constant communication with one another - lately via regular E-mail, and through our respective Facebook walls.
A few years ago, Fish put "Dandy & Company" on hiatus, so he could commit himself to this new fantasy comic book project entitled "The Wellkeeper". One of the characters in said comic is 'Sebastian' - a young human boy who ends up perishing by the hand of an evil demon (called 'The Withering Man'), and is rescued by the title character (a mystical human girl named 'Zoe'), who transfers his soul into the body of a raccoon (above). And now, feeling like an alien amongst the other forest creatures, 'Sebastian' must try his best to adapt to his new mammalian way of life.
So far, at the time of this posting, the comic book is already up to its sixth issue, with Issue #7 due out in early 2013.
Meanwhile, Derrick had brought back "Dandy & Company" in the form of weekly strips, which you can see at http://www.dandyandcompany.com/ or through Facebook - under the name Danforth Quentin Doginski. And visit Derrick Fish's Facebook wall for the latest news on "The Wellkeeper", as well...
