The first My Little pony: Friendship is Magic fan charatcer/OC I ever made, even though this is the first "official" art I have of her. Oh look at that fail background and fail glowy horn magic affects

She's called Glacial Gust, and is a pony of winter. I'm still not /exactly/ sure how the weather system in the FiM pony world runs. I know pegasus ponies control the weather, by bucking away clouds and/or causing them to produce storms, or something..
Frankly I think that is rather dumb, considering they can make the weather whatever they like.
Getting out of that, I'd still like to believe that, even though tech. Celestia and Luna are the only real "Gods" in the show, that there are minor deities to control some of the other functions relating to the pony world, such as the seasons.

Even though the ponies can "control" what the weather is from day to day, there needs to be something else to completely keep it from getting out of hand, right? In case the pegasus ponies derp up.
Well since I love making god-mod characters and cliche mary sues, I made Gusty here

She is a gaurdian of winter. Thus, she in a way, also controls the winter. If a pony or some other misfortunate being gets caught in a snowstorm or whatever, she comes to their aid.
Her horn is made completely of ice, and she only possesses it during winter, as it melts away when the weather gets warmer.
By early spring it is gone completely, and by fall it returns, as the weather is turning chilly. With her horn's magic, she can freeze objects, turn herself into a cloud of snowy mist or snow itself, make snow fall or stop snow from falling, and of course (like all unicorns) levitate objects.
She remains a pegasus throughout the year. With her wings she can create frigid gusts of arctic air, blanketing the surrounding area with snow, hence her name "Glacial Gust"
She is strongest during the full brunt of winter, and weakest during the summer. However she can still function in summer, she just has no magical abilities.
When she walks, she leaves icy hoofprints, and they stay year around. Though obviously the prints will melt quickly in summertime heat.
Surprisingly enough, her body is actually warm to the touch, however she can drastically drop her temperature at will, giving her body the feeling of pure ice.
She is taller than an average pony, but a tad shorter than Celestia.
