Been meaning to do this forever! Another project has finally kicked me into gear, and I made some quick reference sheets for these two. (There's another character on the sheet that they're looking at.. but you'll have to wait for the project to be a bit further along until you get to see him ;3 *teasetease*)

There's a lot of (understandable) confusion about Kio and Keovi, not the least of which stems from their similar names. Keovi is the name/character I've used since about 2005, and was my primary murr-purr-persona until several years ago, when Kio started to wedge her way in. Kio was originally created just to be alternate, female counterpart to Keovi (which is why her name sounds so similar to his), but I've been drawing her more and more since she was created. So.. both of them are my personal-Internet-alter-ego characters, but neither strictly represents the "real" me, either. Keovi is fun for indulging mopey angstiness, and Kio is fun for shameless furry porn slut-antics. I mostly use Keovi to represent my business side of furry work (conventions, merch, commissions, etc), and use Kio for "unofficial"/for funsies drawings. I don't mind being called either Keovi or Kio, but I tend to stick with Keovi in public, because that's the name people can find my art under.

As for their personalities as characters.. I think of the two of them as cousins; Keovi is a couple years older than Kio, and has seen quite a bit more of the world than she has, and is simultaneously put off by and protective of her when they visit each other. Kio is bubbly, has the curiosity of a cat, and thinks most problems can be solved with a cute smile or a quickie. She's fascinated by Keovi's grungy urban life and shady friends, and probably sees herself as less sheltered than he is, simply because she's so outgoing and he's so antisocial and introverted.

So! Hopefully that clears up some confusion :p
