During an April first 1950's TV show... "You are there" I believe it was, they put on an article about the annual Spaghetti harvest in Touscany, Italy. Supposedly "Italian" folks were seen harvesting gobs of cooked pasta off of bushes and trees. It surprised the creators of the show how many viewers called afterwards, thanking the producers for such an informative look into every day Italian life. Only a few realized it was just a clever "April Fool's" joke.
