So after doing some art that got misinterpreted as Car Wars fan art, I decided I'd go do some actual Car Wars fan art! Especially because Steve Jackson Games apparently did some sort of Kickstarter which means there's going to be a new version of the game.
My thinking here is that the Mustang looking car isn't actually firing on the compact car - but past him, and the compact''s driver is trying to take evasive action to get out of the way of what's about to happen next.

I saw this and my first thought was that the little Fiesta driver was gonna need new (read: clean) shorts after being in the wrong place at the wrong time on his commute this morning! I wonder who Dr. Zaius is trying to send a message to?
I remember playing Car Wars when I was younger; I was obsessed with the helicopter conversion kit! Loved the idea of being able to fly away if things got bad. :)
