Very cool... And the design should/ would fly very easily.. There is a plane with almost this exact design/ configuration the Beechcraft Starship which for various reason almost half of all of them made have been scarpped.. it was designed by Burt Rutan who designed SS1..

Yeah, that's too bad about the Starship. I remember seeing them here and there a while back. I always liked the canard design, so I based this thing off Rutan's Very/Long -EZ but wanted to make it side by side seating like a typical two seat trainer.

I forgot about that plane as well which makes sense they are both Rutan designs

I like how you used an inset panel to let Chucky speak but not have to force Merry's scene to conform to him being in the picture. Also agreed with everyone else that the aircraft came out awesome. (Hope you continue to have fun drawing it again and again and again... ;) )

Thanks a bunch man, yes the plane will reappear later on. Heh, when I finished that first panel and looked at Chucky's face I was thinking, "Oh damn his eyes are huge, and he's looking right at the viewer."

Naw, the plane is purely fictional, just made it up based on the Rutan Long/Very-EZ design. I wanted the plane to look slightly futuristic, but simple and a little clumsy like most trainers.

yea, I would think only Nasa had access to those type of planes (cus u know, Nasa has some planes that look close to that, or at least I remember seeing one that looks close to that in a museum).

OHHHH lucky you.. there was/ is a larger plane called the Beachcraft starship it would seat up to 8.. The smaller version with seating like a fighter plane is the Very/ Long EZ as Chucky said
