I struggled with that, too. I wrote a 110-page dissertation on whether Pokemon was evil or not. It was inconclusive, but swayed more on the side of Pokemon being safe.

I also notice in the video games that Nidoking has the better attacks too. I dunno why they don't give Nidoqueen some cool ones too. :<
