When a customer mouths off to me, and I'm silently listening and the boss asks me why I'm not talking, like, "Are you on a call, or sitting on "Idle code?" I make this hand signal, with a smarmy face that I'm 'getting lip from a customer'. Usually it's because they don't know what the hell they WANT and I straighten them out and the likes. Anything from Donations, to Plane reservations, to Cell Phone activations to calling in a fire signal at an apartment building. (All done form the same call center) 3rd party call center means that we're ALL your businesses, but answer differently each time you call.
