Squirrel suit commission for Timoti. Includes lightweight upright style tail for that squirrelly appearance! Happy and cute expression on this guy, he was a lot of fun to build.

that foam, does it compress well? I had to unstuff "Yappy's" tail, because I could not pack it for flights, so it's looking kinda meh these days. I wonder if that foam would make a good replacement? Inflatable would be the ultimate design, but yeah, the leaks would be hard to keep up with.
Great looking job as usual on the suit! I do find it sad though that with maybe <1% of the fandom with squirrels and only a handful of them with suits that someone needs to have a character 95% similar and get their suit built by the same maker. Outside of green eyes and a little beige around the eyes there's little difference. Oh we'll, hopefully he likes being called Scooter a bunch.
Brown nose, beige on the eyes and ears, eyes, much darker grey fur, hair, different cuts for the beige fur. It's tough as a maker to change the style we are known for but we do try to change things up or even make requests to customers for some changes if characters are similar to help differentiate who they are. If all some people can see is are 2 squirrels made by us sadly we can't help that. But people actually like the suits shouldn't have any problem differentiating the two.
There are quite a few differences on him, including completely different furs, different fur pattern/coloration (beige on arms/legs ends in completely different patterns, facial pattern is different, ears different shape and color, hair and eyes are different), and even the head shape is done differently. If you were to see them side by side, I think you would notice the differences right away.
I think stylistically yes, there will be some similarities because we have done both. Our style shows through our work consistently. This is probably more apparent on more common species we do, which tends to go without question (I think because they are more common) such as canines or foxes, they will resemble one to the next in certain ways.
I hope you have a chance to see it in person sometime so you can see the differences, there really are quite a few.

Its a nice suit. Yes, some features look like Scooter, but its still a nice looking and im sure a well made suit. You say the tail is actually hollow on this? (If I read this right) Having worn Scooters suit, that lack of extra weight would probably help with all the bounce and stretch that big tail puts out. Just wish there was a way to see a more "natural" looking tail (Talking shape of the tail and the way it would "flow")
It would be quite interesting seeing two "Scooters" running around a con one day. I just hope they don't become as "ordinary" or "carbon copy" as the Fox/wolf/huskie suits have become. Hes Unique.
