Very pleased with my first set of landscape/bike action shots!
I really just got very lucky here with a variety of things. First off was the hill, and this embankment for erosion control. It was a really fun place to sesh with the bike! I was really, really happy when I found it.
Secondly, I didn't have a tripod with me. As if to prompt the photo shoot, there was a 1.5m concrete post with a flat top sitting just uphill of this berm and in the perfect spot. I cracked up when I saw it because it looked exactly like other concrete posts I've seen placed to facilitate self portraits, but why it was there in the middle of a paddock next to a hill, I will never know.
Thirdly, the light here is pretty striking. I love the contrast it has, and those clouds. Mmm.
And getting that self timer action is tricky! I had 20 seconds to run to my bike after I pressed the button (on the camera), ride down, and hope my little huck was captured by the 9 photos it takes. There's actually another photo that looks a lot like this one (I'm in the same place), but has worse lighting/BG.

Damn, that sucks bro. Heal up quick! I remember you posting about it.
I have a few health issues affecting my riding as well. The joints in my fingers hurt after riding a bit, from pulling on the bar real hard while climbing (on the singlespeed). And the balls of my feet hurt, but I think that's because my shoes don't fit all that well, they're a little big. Gonna see a specialist about the fingers pretty soon.
