meaning buyin like 20 bucks worth of noms for him every 7-12 days.
the geckos all just eat crickets. i get like $15 worth every 3 weeks or so. and peanut. well. he eats every 12 days and a small rat is like 3 bucks
dog eats dog food

I hope so too. Have you tried going through someone a bit more reputable?
There's Ben, who does great auctions all week on some fantastic animals: http://www.facebook.com/reptileshop2
LLReptile: http://lllreptile.com/
Razor Sharp Reptiles (just got my newest female from them at Repticon for a steal):http://razorsharpreptiles.com/
VMSHerp: http://www.vmsherp.com/4SaleLeopards.htm
Though if you want in person options you'd be better off just waiting for Repticons, Hamburg, or the monthly Maryland reptile show

Then I suggest just waiting for a show. You wouldn't have to pay shipping and you can browse at all the animals yourself. However $30-$40 for a lot of morphs will land you in the range for younger geckos, and generally knocks you out of the higher end morphs if that's alright. But it's pretty common to see high levenders and stuff in that range
