wtf.
Mainly trying to figure out how the jaw and cheeks will look with the bill and stuff... comments/crits etc would be nice if you stumble upon this :3

This is coming along well so far, but my goodness... if I were doing something like this, I'd have been stumped right about here. As for crit, the cere area (top of the beak which houses the nostrils) is probably too big/wide. The transition from the nose bridge to the bill will probably need slight more curvature added before you fur it up. Also, after loooking at the expresion you're going for on the build here he would benefit from more of a furrowed eyebrow ridge.
Beaks are hard. Good luck finishing this one! He looks like a challenge.... it's an unusual combination but I'm sure you'll pull it off well in the end!

Thanks for the thought cookies :D
to get this to where it is now, i tried to more or less reverse engineer a dragon skull/jaw structure in behind the bill... completely in two minds on the cere... it's kinda Trinn's baby and I think most of the thinking behind it is "oh god i don't want this to look like daffy duck"
expression was just kinda doodled in there for now; platypi have really cool shapes trailing off their eyelids and tear ducts that we're trying to keep
