This is Asael, OC for my 'Mirage, Illusions and Life' fanfiction.

The name 'Asael' comes from a little-known tragic character from the Bible. His story is found in 2 Samuel 2: 18-32.

Asael was the spoiled brat from a wealthy Arab-family. Getting his ass shipped to the Foreign Legion, he toughened up considerably (Mirage finished the job). During battle, after being mortally wounded and collapsing inside a sealed, but rigged chamber of Egyptian dark arts, he ended up being teleported to Morbia, where, reluctantly, Mirage gave him this Anubis-esque body (details are in the fanfic).

He looks as close as Anubis as Anubis got portrayed. He's mouthy, sarcastic and a bit irreverent, but a hard worker. His skills range from cooking, to cleaning, to hand-to-hand combat. He got stronger with Mirage forcing him to do hard labor, but even when he was still "weaker" he surpassed his human body's abilities. He takes advantages of the heightened senses that his canine-based body has given him, including speed and agility.

If there's one thing the Foreign Legion taught him is 'esprit de corps', or morale, so he's a team player and would sacrifice himself for what's right, something that he would take heart when dealing with Mirage in my story.

Because Mirage has shocked him so many times, he's starting to notice that he can sort of project a little bit of electricity at will (think Blanka from the Street Fighter franchise), but it's basically useless.

The sketch itself has been done for over a year, but revisited to touch up the ears, makeup, eye highlighting and size-comparo with Mirage. I've cleaned it up with my rookie abilities with Photoshop, but tried to leave it as raw as possible. He's portrayed here with his usual get-up.
