My point is that Dave Hyena is probably going to see this, say i'm harassing him and then demonstrate once more and yet again that he doesn't know the rules he's supposed to be enforcing. PROTIP: Banning people for talking negatively about the administration is borderline fascist.
To play Devil's advocate:
Do you know how much BANDWITH having to keep running 1600x1200 images would be WITHOUT uploading them? Since i don't have the original to compare to, I can't honestly say I see a difference (because, well... I don't, I haven't seen the original ^_^. Good logic, aff?)
To take everything as a "letter of the law" as opposed to the "spirit of the law" (or in this case, "letter of the TOS") is a bit, well, overdone. The spirit of the TOS as far as i can see is they won't censor your submissions by modifying them, or cropping them to a certain proportion, or things of that nature. People cannot put EVERYTHING in the TOS dealing with modifications without it being insanely wordy, legalese, and basically those TOS's like Microsoft puts out.
You need to look at their intent vs what you perceive the TOS saying. Because, in reality, no matter how much you may argue, it is always a matter of perception.
