Yep, that's me on the inlay, taking the photo thats showed in big! just a regular day visiting the zoo for me! I got a yearcard and visit the zoo a LOT because I love photographing and hanging out there. I can be found somewhere in the zoo almost weekly, mostly around the quiet water pond where I read some books and gaze upon the birds that fly around.... soothing ^^

I'm not surprised you did it on purpose: I do things like that too of course with DOF.
Personally I still think one where the beak is sharp might've been a notch more impactful. Might want to give a shot to both alternatives if you do another similar composition in the future.
