Colored sketch of two possible variations that I'm still debating over.
Was talking with my friend Chee about this world I started making up like a huge nerd over lunch; A misty planet that has giant floating forests-that-are-like-huge-fucking-kelp-things and shit, and in the dark murky mists there are like, lizardy people, and in the skies above the mist there are birdy people. It all started because I wanted to make a druid of some sort lol..
Then I wanted a Golden Eagle dude warrior thing. o;3;o
We were hemming and hawwing over looks, and I’m not sure if I want to make them more anthro(A), more “taur/satyr” like or… harpy(B) like? Kinda like her Owlpy sexyface? :Ic hrmghggmrhgmhm DUNNOOO LOL

anyway, I like the right one better because it is a more unique looking design. It's not the typical half human half bird harpy look. It's all melded together, like a mish - mosh of genes. As a unique race, the right one would definitely be better. If you want a generic bird people, then the left. c:

I feel like I didn't do so well of a job meshing the two "races" on the right one, so to speak, so I'd probably play with it more if I decided to go toward the harpy-ish route. xD
I'm glad he's creepy, actually! I didn't want him to be too pretty. :B

I think everyone here will vote for A. ;)
personally i could go for B, but his half featherd face is a little creepy, perhaps if he had a bird skull helmet or like a bird taxidermy-like headress thing it would look better? :F just throwing out ideas, i really like what you have already!

I thought about doing that, too, but I wanted the bird-like features to be integrated with the design, and less-so a type of "wardrobe" for the character. But thank you for the suggestion! :)

I like both, but I think B is my favourite! Looks more 'fantasy-like' to me.
In my opinion, B looks like a race that once resembled humans, but has evolved to fly. While A looks as if it was once like bird of dinosaurs, but evolved to stand upright, be taller, and use tools.
Hmm, so if I was in your shoes, I would make the decision on which one to use based on their history :>

I definitely like B. When I first saw it I was sitting there staring at it because of how unique it is...
I would think A would have more animalistic values based on instinct, while B would be more tribal and society based. I feel like B maybe more complex and interesting if put in a story. That's just the feeling they give me though.
