That's why I've been telling people since the beginning not to dismiss the story automatically just because they main characters are humanesque.
It's a space opera much akin to Star Wars, so even though there's technology and space travel, there's a lot of fantasy and anthro elements to it as well... but I think more notably, there's likable characters and (thanks to my Beta readers) a solid story to keep people interested.
