ok, so i do the other paintings and think i'm warmed up with watercolors, right? NUH UH. this was a fucking disaster... inked with india ink, which is supposed to be waterproof [the label LIES]. of course when i do the wash for the sky in the background, the lines on her face freaking BLEED. black! ink! not only that but the handle fell of my brush WHILE i was doing the wash! there were also numerous other failures as a result of not really remembering how to properly use watercolors, though i did get the hang of it.. about.. two strokes before i finished the fucking thing. >:T ughhhh.
i had to fix this up with white gel pen and colored pencil to give it depth/shading/not suckiness/etc.
anyway. besides its messy and disastrous nature, this could be for sale if anyone wants.

i don't think its a disaster at all. and yeah, india ink lies. do you use a nib or pens? this is why i tend to like those micron pens. they do as they're told >:E
this turned out beautifully. i'm bummed the sky got bleached out in the scan though.
the textures in those hills are fantastic. were you going for that hot hot look with all the red?
