This is mostly a confused shading experiment. I REALLY like shading this way.
Also I seem to be only able to draw my slatepaws at rest, or mid four legged leap thingie.

I see. About carrying stuff during the quad-run, some artists suggested a carrying bag on the breast could do better than common shoulder bags and backpack, since it is less affecting balance as well as they allow to put their forelegs/hands at it when on all fours.
Yeah I was thinking about that with one character who is a package runner. She has a vest that packages are attached to. Otherwise balance isn't an much as a issue as just keeping it in the same place on the character, and not being in the way.
These guys don't really solid quad-run. They go quad mostly for extra control, or for stopping/accelerating fast. along with full on climbing. Otherwise they can keep the same speed fairly easy on two legs.(And are pretty fast there to.)
A slight more context with them, they top out around 3ft and interact with full sized humans. So fast animals from the perspective of humans. Like squirrels except larger, faster, able to talk, eat the squirrel example and eat whatever else is put in front of them.
