What's this?

A character in a story I'm writing. He doesn't have a name yet though. Not totally sure what his backstory will be yet either but what I can tell you is he was caught in an explosion, hostpitalized and while comatose became one of many hosts to ancient mystical virus, that turns the flesh into a rough black husk sometimes fused with steal. He's a special case however seeing as virus usually kills it's host and uses the husk as a vessel of destruction. He can only helplessly watch and listen.
