since entering the newer world he was allowed to stay at the mansion (Touhou peeplz know which it is if I mention the "Scarlet" quality 9u9) as a red mage PD needs to keep his studies up as well as training, any spells he is great at he writes it down in his grimoire on a shelf then casts a barrier hex to protect his spells. He is also skilled in firearms (but only up to this point it was known) he would often even use his sword and a single gun at the same time.
