Yay, more icons. This time delayed slightly, but now that I'm done moving and thanksgiving is coming up I should have more time free. (Finally. x_x)

Woah woah owah. Yes. The animals that I am spending my life to help discover more about are 'just bugs'. Dogs aren't really that smart sorry, while ARACHNIDS which are completley seperate from 'bugs', are extremely intellegent. Just because they don't lick your face does not mean that someone can LOVE THEM with all their hearts as I do! They're MY companions.
It should NOT be expected, people should show alot more respect towards peoples pets. Also, the only reference to resident evil in your disgusting little joke was 'infected with the t virus'. Nobody asked you to comment saying disgusting things like how you'd shoot the spider. Some people are terrified of dogs, my own mother for example. She's PETRIFIED of big dogs. What if she went to a picture you uploaded of your dog and said something like *shoots it* dogs are evil you know, you shouldn't go near them. (She never would because she loves animals and dogs despite her fear of huge dogs, but just tell me how you'd feel!)
It's downright nasty, you need to learn respect for others.

I don't care much about dogs, and I never had one, so I don't know why you're insisting on that for an example, but.. Say I had a beloved pet and someone made a joke about shooting it? I wouldn't be offended, no. I think the operative word here is *JOKE*.

I think you're still completely missing the point here - and I even capitalized "JOKE" before. If someone said in earnest that they would kill someone's pet - THEN I might take offense.
This case I categorize in with the "goddamit, I am going to kill that cat!" often exclaimed by owners, and various other statements in which pets are suggested killed without the speaker ACTUALLY wanting to kill the thing.

It's OVER THE INTERNET and more importantly a JOKE.
Chill out. There are worse things going on in reality, like neighbors pulling guns on cats and letting them drag their half-paralyzed bodies somewhere to die, or people starving pregnant pets near death and leaving them outside to suffer in the rain/snow. Someone making a joke on the internet doesn't kill anybody's pet spider/hamster/rat/gerbil/parakeet/cat/dog/elephant/shoe and you're getting worked up over a lot of nothing :P
