Oh gosh, I just stumbled across this. I absolutely love this! I grew up on a street lined with female ginkgo trees (They thought they were planting Catalpa trees. Woops!)

I feel so sorry for you D: Ginkgo fruit smells awful! Bummer they didn't plant those catalpas though. Those are some AWESOME trees! I love those big, hanging seedpods!

They do smell awful, but childhood was that smell for me. They were very very old trees by the time I came into being, so they were gorgeous if smelly. Their leaves are so beautiful in autumn.

Plus, pelting ones cousins with gingko berries is a time honored tradition!
