Something a little different compared to most of what I've been drawing lately...
I really didn't have any ideas for what to do today, so I decided to browse around a little art forum for a bit. Under the watercolour section they have a different challenge every month, and this month's challenge was sunset skyscapes.
That sounded like something I could do, and having no better ideas I figured I'd give it a quick whirl! Some of the stuff didn't work out quite how I had hoped it would, but on the whole I'd say it ain't too bad. Refreshingly different from most of my work.
It's really hard to get cheap watercolours to make a deep black though, heh. Anyway, lemme know your thoughts folks!

Awesome! The background should've taken a lot of time to complete I guess... I still haven't used that new set of watercolor paint, maybe 'cause I'm too lazy to try something with it but also because everytime I see something like this I immediately think "ah, that should be freakin' hard to do... Maybe PS is easier to deal with'' . But I'll make sure to try coloring something with it sometime. :p
Not too bad really. There was far more drying time than actual painting time. It wasn't terribly difficult at any point either, just a gradient with some purple blobs on top of it and a little white smeared in for the water. Once you learn a few little tricks, scenes like this are actually fairly easy. But you'll never learn 'em if you don't pick up those brushes sometime. :P
