You never see a Springer Spaniel as a character. It's a nice change of pace.

Actually it's a cocker spaniel. But I do like springer spaniels, too. I should draw one. :3

I'd really like to see that. Basketball is definitely suitable for Spaniels. They are accomplished jumpers. I love the Spaniel breeds. I once had a Cocker Spaniel. He was a goofy dog, but he was a great pal.
