Beautiful icon!

You know, I tried to insert a razor into an apple once, to see what it would look like. Not a great evil trick to play. as the incision turns into a great dark bruise on the apple in just a few minutes.

Coat the razor in lemon or lime juice and slide it in. The low-PH solution causes the enzyme responsible for the browning not to go off. For best results, add more lemon or lime juice to the cut once you've got the razor in as far as you like. Also, make sure to put it in from the bottom. Nobody ever looks at the bottom of the apple.

It is one of the curses of the nerd - to be unable to observe a technical problem without attempting a solution.

Actually, it's more i've run across a solution to the problem, not in such... violent setup, but I know the solution. And as a writer and a chemistry nerd, i have, built into me, this innate urge to share the information.
