My girls never sleep apart. I tried getting a second hut so they wouldnt be crammed in 1, however they would still manage. They did however just the other day get a newer and larger hut to sleep in, which has made them happy.

I've learned with my boys that after cleaning the cage just to leave a stack of blanket scraps outside of their sleeping cage so that they can put it away the way they want it to be, and to cover the food hut with a blanket so they can feel like I won't find their snacks. Other wise they try to flip the litter plan so it covers the food hut door. x.x
mine are ok when it comes to thier food. i have it on a level up and my male rat digs threw his and makes a mess the girls are fairly clean and only dig a bit. Then add in the few times they get plain cherrios for a snack and its to funny, to watch them try to shove as many as they can on thier teeth then go down to store it and come back for more.
