Entering "The Ankh", a casino run by "The Void", one of the local criminal gangs. Someone compared it to the Cantina of Mos Eisley in the Star Wars Universe... which is true to an extent. The idea is the same, but The Ankh is a lot more upscale and classier.

The Void uses it as a base for all their criminal activities. Their leader, Cylor is first and foremost a businessman.

The escorts of the Ankh (refered to as "Fancy Ladies"... since The Void wanted a more elegant name to refer to them) are in no way indentured. They share a mutual arrangement with the Casino. The Void allows to use The Ankh as a base of operations in exchange for a cut of their profits. Both parties have increased revenue from this arrangement, but The Void are very selective about who they allow to work at the Casino. The Fancy Ladies are high class individuals... think Inara from Firefly/Serenity.
