The third in the lineup for my Horror giant yet to be named and completed. His name is Krustashian. It's kind of a mix and play on the work crustacean and the famous TV family, the Kardashians.
I wanted him to look somewhat like an Invid from Robotech and still be somewhat like an Earth crab. And this is the result. I had considered other color schemes but then I thought of the Constructicons of the Transformers. One other thing I had considered was to have Krustashian have three legs. While he would look cool with just two, it'd be eve better with three legs. I drew that inspiration from Star Trek Voyager and the dangerous aliens known as Species 8472. That creature had three legs. Of course, maybe he could have the extra leg if he needs or wants it.
To make the horror giant look cooler, I thought that he would make the Head/Torso. His face would be the giant's head and face. His arms and legs would retract into his body up to the purple areas. Then the other "limbs" wold attach to the bottom of his "hands" and "feet".
The big question is, should this giant be 5 or 6 members? If it's six, then I'd have to have 3 more members. I already have 2, Maggie Ma and Screaming Mimi.
That means I will have to think up 3 more horror creatures.
Btw, he tends to be a bit....... crabby. ;-P

Oh my does THAT Bring me back.
I thought "That looks like an Invid" And low and behold there is the tag!
And now to add ANOTHER anime into it, do not know if oyu will get this one.. but it looks a bit like an Invid made "Lagann" from Gurrenn Lagann.
All in All it is FANTASTIC!

Yeah the purple "Shock Troopers" were some of my favorites as well, and there were some larger ones you didn't see very often, "Enforcers" or something I think.
"Gurren Lagann" is a fantastic Giant Robot anime, the lead robot "Lagann" is really a giant head with arms and legs.
I like the idea of using him as "Just" the head.. Have to say VERY Interested to see this concept further developed.

Initially I wasn't a huge fan of the Masters since there was no SDF ship in it. The New Generation was cool because it had the Cyclone motorcycles. Quite possibly the coolest mecha ever created.
I always loved the two Invid trooper types. That's what greatly influenced Krustashians look. I even gave mine the big red eye in the center of his face as well as those two little cannons that the red ones had.
