A bit about this group:
Child's Play works to improve the lives of hospitalized children, by giving toys, games, and books to children's hospitals and therapy facilities. Kids can then use or play with these during their stay.

Originally, I found it difficult to support this charity, thinking of it as a "luxury", but after having to go back and forth between doctors for my own medical issues, I started to think about how awful a young child would feel living in such an environment for weeks, months, or more.

Many of the children in these hospitals are miserable, scared, and alone. Having games to play offers them a needed source of comfort, entertainment, and distraction from their illnesses or traumas, while offering some extra means to interact with other children and family.

Children deserve comfort and happiness whenever we are able to provide it, and it can even help their recovery. Coming from a community that loves performing to entertain others, especially children, I can't think of many charities more in line with our values than Child's Play.

All money donated through this fundraiser will be put towards buying games for hospitals and therapy facilities, and a single toy or game can make an impact on tens or hundreds of children.

So please consider sharing a bit to make a difference to a child in need.
