for 2 years he didn't put enough effort other than going to the shows/concerts. they asked him to get better, he never did for 2 years. finally Rabbit and The Spine told him, shape up or leave. so they left on equal ground.

From what I understand, from reading both David and Bunny's posts about the situation, is that The Jon wasn't enjoying being in the band anymore, and he stopped helping them out and stopped doing the portion of the work assigned to him, and the three sat down to talk and decided he'd split. It wasn't, like, "GET OUT NAO!" or anything. It was a decision all three of them made.
Their new robot is Hatchworth, played by Sam (their former drummer). He's pretty adorable too, but not in the same way as The Jon.
