Happy Halloween marvelous munchy muffins just right for any occasion from the kitchens of
otaconxix
This was a very easy recipe I just made up based on what I could find in my house at the time, although one of the main ingredients is a little hard to find when out of season.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
-1 box of Jiffy blueberry muffin mix (Or any muffin mix really, this is just the one I used)
-1 box of Capn Crunch's Halloween Crunch (This is the ingredient that's kinda hard to find. You can get it at Wal-Mart in the seasonal section around this time of year)
-1 egg
-1/2 cup of milk
-1 ziplock bag
-1 tenderizing mallet
-candy corn
-1 muffin tin
STEP 1:
Take 1 cup and 1/2 of the Halloween Crunch and place it into the ziplock bag. Then take the mallet and start pounding the cereal until it's nothing but dust. Set aside for now.
STEP 2:
Mix the muffin mix together with the egg and the 1/2 cup of milk. When mixed, add the cereal powder into the mix and mix it all together.
STEP 3: Place the mix into the muffin pan about half full. Heat in oven at 400 degrees for 13 to 15 minutes.
STEP 4:
When baked, immediately place one piece of candy corn on top of each muffin. This will cause the piece of corn to melt a little and soak into the muffin. (Note: the muffins are pretty dry, but still really good. I'd recommend using butter or dipping them in a glass of milk.)
