Here’s a little sample of what I have in mind for backgrounds in some future drawings featuring the Great Cities of Cervidia. The general appearance of these cities is inspired by gothic architecture and the artwork of HR Giger. This is an older pencil drawing that I worked on while I was out at sea on the Roger Revelle Research vessel. I got fairly sea-sick while drawing this. Life can get boring when you’re away from land for more than a month. Anyway, this is the sort of thing that will be the backdrop to a few new pictures of my Cervidian characters coming up.
