huh. I've never really done boating all that much since elementary school, and the best I did was get 3rd place in a middle school kayak race (I was really into kayaking around a nearby lake, but that ended about a year later :P).

Ahhh...well it's hard to find me sober on a canoe...that's they I always make sure I'm in a U-hull. ^^;

Going under the assumption you were going for an abandoned theme here I like how you captured the tire along with the canoe. To answer your question, my suggestion to have improved this shot was to back away from the canoe and capture more of the surrounding area. Especially if this canoe was abandoned, then I would have incorporated the tire more into this photograph. I think if you had approached this canoe further back around four to five feet at a five o'clock angle, then I think you could have caught the tire as well as some of the waterfront. The issue that I see here is that the canoe kind of takes up the whole photograph without giving a viewer a reference point of where it is.

I hope my commentary was not too harsh, and I think you are a good photographer. I just wanted to be honest in light of your asking for feedback.

Thank you! I shall have to try that. The only problem is that it's on an extremely steep hill with very crowded sides, but I'll go for it anyway. And, no, it was not harsh at all.
